Fish Skeleton is a story of life. One one hand, it is a picture of a dead fish, dead and dying leaves, cold frost. On the other hand it is the nutrients of those items being returned to the soil for the next generation of life. Fish Skeleton was taken at Goldstream Park several years ago (2010) shortly after the salmon migration. The frost on the leaves gives it a visual texture.

Past its Prime is an image of an old cut flower taken in my livingroom with mostly natural light. When I took it, I was impressed with the rough texture of the dried flower. Past its Prime is also a story of life. The once vibrant flower is tired and drooping, but it still has colour and beauty.

These photographs are prepared and printed using a special process than creates physical texture and depth that must be felt to be appreciated.

More information about the process can be found here
